The desire of textile designers Amélie Charroin and Marie Colin-Madan to create images and patterns gave birth to Milleneufcentquatrevingtquatre. It means 1984 in French, the year of birth of the two designers. The scarves’ designs are a unique blend of mixed media images, drawings, painting, and photo-montage.
They combine the best of the traditional world of square flat frame and modern prints influenced by music-videos, blogs, painting and art history. The duo work closely with the best French silk manufacturers. Each handmade piece is woven, printed and shaped in Lyon, the birthplace of original silk scarves. Each square of silk is a picture to wear with pride !
Milleneufcentquatrevingtquatre will be present at ‘de Modefabriek‘ on the 20th and 21th of January in Amsterdam.
